Web designing is a general term used to describe several tasks that go into designing a web page. Web designers are programmers who not only decide how a web page will look but also make programs to implement their designs. They work with clients who articulate the needs and functions of the web page.

Web designing is not easy and most web designers have to be excellent in working with programs and graphic software. To design a web page, designers must also understand the working of media software program so they can add film or sound clips to the web page.

When designing a page, you must know that not all browsers interpret HTML according to World Wide Web Consortium which is the standard-setting body. This means a web page which appears to meet the client expectation in one browser may not work perfectly on other browser. Even though there are several fixes you can use to circumvent these bugs, there may still be issues that you may not solve using these fixes.

Web designers must also design a page keeping in mind the formats a site can be viewed in. They must take into account, the different monitor sizes and display setting when designing a page.
